Toray's standard carbon fiber tow is typically sold in 1 kg spools, but prepreg materials often have higher minimums—sometimes 5 to 10 kg per SKU. For custom widths or slit tows, the minimum can jump to 50 kg or more.
Lead times vary by grade and region. Standard grades (T300, T700) from Toray Composite Materials America might ship within 2-3 weeks. Specialty grades (T1100, some aerospace intermediates) from Toray Carbon Fibers Europe can stretch to 10-14 weeks. I always ask for a written lead time commitment in the quote, not just 'estimated.'
